Willie Alfonso Brown, 33, was formally charged today at the Dakota County Courthouse in connection with that led to him crashing his vehicle into a Burnsville residence at Burncrest Court and 134th Street.
Brown was charged with three felonies including two counts of second-degree assault and one count of first-degree burglary. All of which constitute violations of his parole from the Minnesota Correctional Facility at Oak Park Heights.
Brown is scheduled to attend an omnibus hearing on May 2 to determine the admissibility of the evidence against him and be sentenced.
Depending on how he pleads, Brown could face as much as 40 years in prison and a $75,000 fine before the judge rules on the additional penalty for parole violation.
At the time of writing Brown was being held at the Dakota County Jail while awaiting the May sentencing. If he is able to post $150,000 with conditions or $200,000 without conditions, Brown could be released.
But because Brown has been charged with violating his parole from Oak Park Heights, he is likely to return to that facility to await his May 2 hearing.
