Burnsville native contructs hockey rink while deployed to Southwest Asia

An Airman deployed to an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia developed a proposal to construct a near arena-size hockey rink, only the second of its kind in a deployed location.

Airman 1st Class Joshua Hanson said the new rink will finally give the hockey community, or people wanting to try hockey, a place to play on a daily basis.

Hanson is originally from Burnsville, Minnesota and is deployed from the 6th Communications Squadron at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Fl.
