South Metro Woman Dies After 25-year Battle with Cancer

Jennifer M. Sheffel finally succumbed on Dec. 12, 2012 after years of staving off an illness which had dogged her since her early 20s.

Jennifer M. Sheffel, of Lonsdale, died on Dec. 12, 2012 at the age of 47 after a courageous 25-year battle with cancer.

She was born to Owen and Rosie Connelly on Nov. 29, 1965. According to her Facebook page, Sheffel was a 1984 graduate of Burnsville High School. She worked at Edina Realty Title.

Sheffel is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; son, Owen; sisters, Ann Prettyman, Carrie (Ethan) Piche and Pam Connelly; brothers, Larry, Denny (Sandy), Danny (Diana), and Donny Connelly; also by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Sheffel is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at  in Burnsville. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, at White Funeral Home in Burnsville and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will take place at St. John's the Baptist Cemetery in Savage.
