Robert "Bob" Charles Gordon, of Burnsville, passed away on Sept. 16, 2012 at the age of 87.
Gordon served as a a B17 ball turret gunner during World War II, flying 35 missions. However, he will be best remembered as a loving father and grandfather by his family.
"Bob is loved and will be missed dearly," his relations wrote.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Catherine; siblings, John Gordon and Betty (Ray) Jaraczewski.
Gordon is survived by his eight children, Jeffery, Todd, Judith (George) Root, Sue Paulsen, Patricia (Ken) Liles, Robert M. (Jennifer), Terrence (Lisa) and Steven Gordon; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Gordon; also nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Burnsville and also one hour prior to the mass on Friday. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials will be donated to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota.
