Obituary: Barbara Lee Ferrera, 75

Barbara Lee Ferrera (nee Falls) passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at the age of 75.

Ferrera was a Minneapolis native. She graduated from Washburn High in 1955. She and her husband Richard raised their family in Burnsville. In her leisure time, Ferrera enjoyed sitting on Hawaiian beaches and watching the sun set, reading, playing tennis, golf, walking and physical fitness, but most of all spending time with family. She is described as a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.

Ferrera is preceded in death by parents, Marie and Vernon Falls, and sister Muriel Best.

She is survived by loving husband of 55 years, Richard; children, Susan (Robert) Parent, John (Lori), Deanna (Curtiss) Roehl, Julie (Troy) Huntley, Steven (Stacy) Ferrera; grandchildren, Rick, Amy (Kevin), Tyler, Jordan, Michael, Nate, Sienna, Savanna, Jackson, Lauren; brother, Douglas (Sharon) Falls; sisters, Virginia Diller and Lori (Larry) Hard.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. A luncheon will follow the service. A gathering of family and friends will precede the service on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Lakeville and also one hour prior to service at church.
