Obituary: Albert Frances Lanick, 70

Sept. 18, 1942 - Dec. 12, 2012

Albert Francis Lanick, of Burnsville, passed away suddenly at his home. He was 70 years old. 

According to his family, he was a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned his degree in marketing. During his career, he worked in sales and marketing for publishers in the Chicago. When he returned to the Twin Cities, he offered his services as a marketing consultant until retirement.

Lanick is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marie Lanick; brother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Dirlam.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Lynda Lanick; daughter, Colleen Lanick, parents-in-laws, Goergie and Duane Windahl; sister-in-law; Shauna Dirlam and Earl (Guri Kirking) Windahl; nieces and nephews, Philip Dirlam, Carly (Paul) Morris, Bjorn, Nikolai and Hans Windahl.

A memorial service for Lanick is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at noon at the White Funeral Home in Burnsville, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Donations to the Animal Humane Society and the American Heart Association are requested in lieu of flowers.
