Help Burnsville Parks - Become a 'Litter Getter" for a Day

We're going to clean up of Burnsville Parks on June 2 to kick off "I Love Burnsville Week."

Greetings,

We are in the process of putting together a park clean-up event on Saturday, June 2 from 8 a.m. to noon at the start of "I Love Burnsville Week."

On the advice from our Parks Department, we will be focusing on (3) specific parks that need some TLC and are not currently "adopted."

The Parks Dept. will provide bags and pick them up when the event is over, so basically we need your participation to come out and be a "litter getter."

All ages are welcome, but children do need to be with a parent or responsible adult. You can participate for whatever amount of time works for you. Groups are awesome—good way to get your co-workers outside doing some real work—LOL!

The parks will be Civic Center, Black Dog and one other that is to be determined. Each location will have a volunteer coordinator to meet you, great you, encourage you, give you bags and thank you.

Bring your own gloves. Remember: It's happening rain or shine (so come prepared). No big, formal sign-up required, but if you plan to participate, please let us know so we can have an idea of number of bags to supply.

If anyone has a long-handled net or a pair of fishing waders, we can use you at Civic Center Park to fish out the floating water bottles in the little pond.

We have the Mayor on board and support from the City, so let's show our parks some love and get them cleaned up on June 2nd.

Shoot me an email or give me a call if you have questions or would like to participate. info@greenlawnlady.com or 952-393-7028.
