Minnesota Twins pitcher, Brian Duensing, is inviting Twins fans, families and friends to join him for breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 9-10 a.m. at the Chart House Restaurant in Lakeville.
"I'm looking forward to meeting some fans and enjoying some pancakes for a great cause. Every child deserves a great birthday, and I want to do what I can to help. I am thankful for an organization like Cheerful Givers that makes it so easy to help."
Nick Blackburn, Brian Duensing and Chris Parmelee will host a Q&A session, led by Marney Gelner of Fox Sports, and everyone attending will receive a keepsake photo of the three players. In addition to some great pancakes, attendees will have a chance to enter prize drawings for hats and team yearbooks autographed by Mauer, Willingham, Span, Revere, Duensing, Perkins, Doumit, Dozier, Butera, Baker and Blackburn. A live auction will include use of the Mauer/Morneau suite on Sun. Sept. 16 and chance to toss out the first pitch, team autographed bat and a suite at a Lynx game.
Special guest, Siri French, Miss Minnesota 2012, will be available for photos along with Miss Minnesota Collegiate and Miss Minnesota High School.
All proceeds will help to provide toy-filled birthday gifts for less fortunate children in our community. Space is limited but tickets are now available at http://cgtwinsbreakfast12.eventbrite.com/
