Judges for this year’s Burnsville Winter Lighting Contest have combed through the nominees and selected four winners.

In the townhome/apartment/condo category, the judges chose Mary Jo Bergquist of the Atrium Apartments. She’ll receive a $100 Visa Gift Card, donated by Dakota Electric Association.

In the single-family dwelling category, judges selected the following winners:

First Place: Glen and Melissa Stoffel, 13000 Block of Knob Hill Road ($100 Visa Gift Card, donated by Dakota Electric Association)

Second Place: Bernard and Pat Bertram, 15000 Block of Stevens Avenue ($50 Gift Card to a Burnsville Restaurant)

Third Place: James Losenicky and William Panos, 1100 Block of Knob Hill Road (two passes to the Minnesota Zoo)

Residents nominated homes for the contest between Nov. 27 and Dec. 13 All nominees in the contest had to be located within Burnsville city limits, be visible from the street and match criteria for the submitted category.

The Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors judged the entries Dec. 19 and announced the winners Friday.

This is the second year that the convention and visitors bureau oversaw the contest. It was previously run by the City of Burnsville.
