Only a Few Days Left to Nominate Best Winter Light Displays
Nominations are being accepted through Friday for the Burnsville Winter Lighting Contest.
Time is running out to nominate the best-decorated Burnsville homes.
Nominations for the Burnsville Winter Lighting Contest, presented by the Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau and Dakota Electric Association, come to a close Friday, Dec. 13. Residents can pick the homes, neighborhoods and complexes/associations that have the best light displays.
To submit a nomination, visit the city’s website or pick up a form at one of the following locations

- Burnsville City Hall,
- Burnsville Library,
- Cornerstone Copy and
- Jo Jo’s Rise & Wine.
Nominees must be located within Burnsville city limits, be visible from the street and match criteria for the submitted category. Submissions must be accompanied by a photo.
The Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors will review the submissions. The top three entries in each category will receive the following prices:

- First place: $100 Visa Gift Card, donated by Dakota Electric Association
- Second place: $50 Gift Card to a Burnsville Restaurant
- Third place: Two passes to the Minnesota Zoo
