Attend a Holiday Concert at Burnsville High School

The band and choir winter concerts are scheduled during the month of December.

Burnsville High School choirs and bands will perform their winter and holiday concerts at Mraz Center for the Performing Arts, the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District announced.

Two choir concerts are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6. The first begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Blaze Choir, Women's Chorus, Freestyle, and the BHS Madrigal Singers, a new group.

The second concert begins at 8:30 p.m. and includes Bel Canto, FreeStyle, Concert Choir and BHS Madrigal Singers. 

Each concert will feature holiday favorites, such as "Carol of the Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Tickets are $3, and anyone who buys a ticket for the first concert at 6:30 p.m. can stay to attend the second concert for free. Purchase tickets at Burnsville High School's main office or at the door. 

On Dec. 12, Varsity Band and Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m., and the Symphonic Band and the Concert Band will perform at 7 p.m. on Dec. 19. 

The Mraz Center for the Performing Arts has been recently updated and is adjacent to Burnsville High School at 600 East Highway 13.

The Choir directors are Martha Schmidt and Erik Akervik, and the band directors are Keith French and Molly Holmes.
