School of Rock To Host Open House

School of Rock To Host Open House

The Burnsville Campus of School of Rock is hosting an open house August 17, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to celebrate the 7th year birthday of School of Rock in the Twin Cities.  The house band will perform classic rock tunes while guests enjoy sandwiches, snacks, birthday cake and drinks.

Children 2-6 will be treated to a LittleWing - School of Rock’s preschool music program – birthday party while mini-lessons on drums, guitar, bass and keyboard will be provided free for kids 7-15 years old.  Prizes, drawings and enrollment specials add to the celebration.

The public is invited to enjoy the festivities at 14300 Buck Hill Rd, Burnsville. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

"School of Rock was actually founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1998 but we opened our first Twin Cities school in 2006,” said Minnesota franchise owner, Stacey Marmolejo. “My son was interested in a performance-based music program and back then there wasn’t one in the Twin Cities. That’s when I discovered the School of Rock on the East Coast and knew we had to have one here!”

There are now 110 locations across the U.S. and in select international locations, with three locations in Minneapolis/St. Paul including Burnsville, Eden Prairie and St. Paul. To learn more about School of Rock, visit Burnsville.schoolofrock.com.   To learn more about Little Wing, visit LittleWingMN.com.  To learn more about the Open House Birthday Party, call 952.898.7625 or email ABowen@SchoolofRock.com
