Remember a Veteran Who Made a Difference in Your Life

Memorial Day is a great time to pay your respects.

Many people know someone who has died while serving this country—whether it’s a friend, a brother or sister, a parent or grandparent, or a husband or wife.

While these fallen soldiers should be celebrated, thanked and remembered throughout the year, Memorial Day is an especially good time to pay respects. Burnsville Patch wants to help you do that: From now through Monday, we’re asking readers to submit reflections and/or photos of veterans that played a key role in their lives.

Also, if you’re in town this holiday weekend, Burnsville is holding a Memorial Day service on Monday at the Bicentennial Gardens on Nicollet Avenue and 134th Street. The event is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. For more, see the city’s website.
