Ralphie May, Raunchy Comic, Comes to Burnsville Performing Arts Center

The heavyweight stand-up will play a show at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center this Saturday.

Ralphie May, a bawdy comic whose jokes often revolve around his 450-pound frame and his southern upbringing, will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday, March 30, at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.

The Arkansas-raised comedian, who got his break in 2003 as a contestant on the first season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing," is in the middle of his "Too Big to Ignore" tour. His jokes, few if any of which can be quoted without the use of profanity, touch on topics of political correctness, racial differences and his weight.

The 41-year-old standup has appeared on the Tonight Show and in four Comedy Central specials.
