Stop N Go Demolished, Strip Mall on the Way

The gas station at the corner of West Burnsville Parkway and Harriet Avenue South was torn down in late September.

The Gateway Stop N Go is no more.

The gas station and convenience store on West Burnsville Parkway has been razed. The site will soon be developed into an 8,400 square foot strip mall for retail shops or a medical business, the Star Tribune reports. In April, the site was sold to a partnership that includes Coldwell Banker Commercial Griffin Companies.

As yet, no plans have been submitted to the city. Jeff LaFavre, a senior partner at the Minneapolis commercial real estate firm, told the STRIB that the group is still seeking potential tenants. He added that the partnership would not move forward until 75 percent of the space is leased out.

“We’ve had a number of small tenants tell us they’re interested, but what we really need is an anchor tenant to move ahead with construction,” LaFavre said.
