Pimento Jamaican Kitchen, Winner of 'Food Court Wars' Open for Business

The new Burnsville Center food court restaurant serves up "authentic Jamaican cuisine."

Pimento Jamaican Kitchen opened this weekend at the Burnsville Center food court.

The restaurant won an episode of the Food Network's "Food Court Wars" to earn a rent free spot for a year at the Burnsville Center.

Pimento Kitchen serves "authentic Jamaican cuisine that's not too scary for the average Minnesotan," said Tomme Beevais, one of the three owners.

Serge Kogan and Yoni Reinharz are also owners of Pimento Kitchen.

A grand opening event is set for Saturday, Aug. 17. The event includes a viewing of the "Food Truck Wars" episode that Pimento Kitchen won. It will start at 12 p.m. at the Burnsville Center.
