Burnsville Bloggers Unite!

Passionate about a certain hobby, or about issues in Burnsville? Have an engaging writing voice? Already a prolific blogger? These things and more make you a perfect blogger for Burnsville Patch.

In addition to providing some of the most locally focused news coverage for Burnsville, Burnsville Patch also wants to be a hub for local voices to be heard.

With that in mind, we're launching a blogging platform next week (the week of May 2)—sort of like an open community opinion page—and we're looking for community voices to contribute.

The blog section will be a little more free-wheeling than the Burnsville Patch homepage, and will be a place where readers can check out what the voices in their community have to say about goings on in or outside of the city. For the most part, anything that is legal, goes. We want bloggers to own their blogs.

In fact, Burnsville Patch won't own the blog content people post, meaning authors can repost their stuff on other sites. Those who blog on Burnsville Patch won't be paid.

If you're already a prolific Burnsville blogger, or are passionate about anything in Burnsville (crime, education, fishing, government, business, shopping or pets—literally, anything) and have a strong voice, then you should write a blog on the Burnsville Patch site.
