A Switch and a Surprise Round Out the Night at 'Bite'

A newcomer, a local favorite and a legacy restaurant all won honors at this year's "Bite of Burnsville."

Thursday night's "Bite of Burnsville" proved to be a memorable occasion.

Ernie's Pub & Grille won the Silver Spoon Award, an honor bestowed by judges culled up from Le Cordon Bleu, while Brackett’s Crossing of Lakeville won the people's choice award, the Silver Fork—the diametric reverse of last year's Bite.

A new restaurant, The Rack, won a third distinction, the first-ever "Cutting Edge" award, which was based on an online poll. The owner of The Rack said that the restaurant garnered 1,900 of 6,000 votes cast.
