ISD 191: Superintendent Hosting Two Community Days

The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District Community Days will give parents and students an opportunity to share what opportunities they want to see at the schools.

Students, parents and community members are invited by new Superintendent Joe Gothard to attend two upcoming Community Days he will be hosting in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191

Gothard looks forward to meeting a wide variety of people and learning what opportunities and approaches they want to see to support the district's mission of "Each Student Real-World Ready."

"This is the listening and learning phase of my first year with the district," said Gothard. "The information that people have been sharing with me has been valuable as I get to know this wonderful school district. I appreciate the conversations I have been having and look forward to meeting more people during upcoming Community Days."

Input gathered during Community Days will shape future leadership decisions and the direction of the school district, said Gothard, who feels strongly that many voices build a powerful community.

Community Days will take place:

Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Eagle Ridge Junior High, 13955 Glendale Road, Savage

Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Burnsville High School, 600 E. Highway 13, Burnsville

In addition to the evening events, Gothard will be visiting every school as well as other specialized programs in the district and community education. He will take tours, view classrooms, meet with students and talk with staff members.
