Hundreds of School Items Collected During Local Back to School Drive

All eight US Federal Credit Union branches participated in the school drive from July 22 through Aug. 10.

The US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) collected over 500 school items during its Back to School Drive sponsored by myTalk 107.1 FM radio.

School items collected included backpacks, notebooks, folders and crayons, according to a USFCU news release. The school drive benefitted The Caring Tree, an organization that collects, purchases, and distributes school supplies to students in need across the state of Minnesota.

Residents donated $166 dollars to The Caring Tree during the drive and USFCU donated $500 to the organization during a myTalk 107.1 live broadcast from USFCU's Burnsville location. Radio hosts Margery and Emma accepted the donation on behalf of The Caring Tree.
