Patch Picks: Fall Art and Craft Fairs

Get your craft on! Stop by one of these arts, vintage or crafts fairs coming up in the area.

1. Twin Cities Vintage Clothing & Jewelry Show 

Come and see clothing and jewelry spanning over 100 years. This show promises vintage styles from 45 booths of top-quality vendors from all over the Midwest, as well as a standing exhibit of 1950s romance novel cover art. The show will kick off with a fashion parade and contest on Friday night fashion parade and contest. The show runs from on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Fine Arts Building at the State Fairgrounds.

Admission: $7 on Friday ($1 off if you dress vintage), $5 on Saturday

2. Antique Fair—Cat and Fiddle Fair

One of the largest occasional sales in Minnesota in located at A Cat and the Fiddle A Fair in Rosemount. This is a fun place to shop for antiques, retro, vintage, primitive or cottage-style furnishings and décor. It features new inventory and designs each time it's open—only four days per month. Stop in Oct. 20-23 or Nov. 10-13.

3. Autumn Festival—An Arts and Crafts Affair

This show was voted one of the top 100 shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine. Stop at Canterbury Park in Shakopee Nov. 10-13 (11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday) for Autumn Festival—An Arts and Crafts Affair, to find home decor and holiday gifts.

Admission: $8 for adults; $7 for seniors; free for children under 10. (And there's free parking!)

4. Lioness Art and Craft Show

The Eden Prairie Lioness 2011 Art & Craft Fair is scheduled to be held at Eden Prairie's Grace Church on Saturday, Oct. 22. The doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. This is the third-annual event. Quality artists and crafters will bring their unique and hand-crafted gifts to you.
