An Evening with Mark Twain
Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.
Michael Bateson will bring Mark Twain to life in BPAC's Black Box Theater. BPAC describes the performance:
During the interactive two hour performance, Bateson recreates many of the humorous stories and sketches which made Mark Twain one of the most sought after lecturers and after-dinner speakers in the world. As a Twain scholar, Bateson incorporates stories and information about Twain’s life as a writer, husband and father and his life on the Mississippi. At the end of the performance Bateson invites the audience to ask questions of Twain about his life, opinions, books, and family.
Ole & Lena's Family Christmas
Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
Bateson will return for the show, which will be performed on BPAC's main stage. The show is about Lena's love for Christmas while Ole wants nothing to do with Christmas, says BPAC. Lena invites the whole family over for the holiday and plans for Ole to play the part of Santa Claus. Ole looks to Sven to save him from the part.
Will Lena be able to keep it all together while she prepares for the family Christmas? Will she be able to keep Ole on track?
Tickets for both performances are on sale now. For box office information, visit the Burnsville Performing Arts Center website.
