The Burnsville Performing Arts Center (BPAC) has an entertaining holiday season planned this year. See below for details on some of the shows coming in December.
Making a return to the BPAC stage is The Girl Singers of the Hit Parade’s Christmas Show on Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. From classics like Adeste Fidelis and Silent Night to swinging and rocking tunes like Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Merry Christmas Polka and Winter Wonderland, The Girl Singers send out a warm holiday family feeling. Tickets are $19 each and are on sale now.
The Great Northern Union Chorus (GNU) Christmas Stories performs two nights on the main stage at the BPAC: Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. GNU is an internationally acclaimed, auditioned men’s a cappella chorus based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, drawing members and audiences from throughout the Midwest.
Unaccompanied vocal music, which is technically near-flawless, passionately performed and tirelessly spread to audiences and potential singers alike. Tickets are on sale now. Adult tickets are $20 to $35 with special pricing for seniors 65 and over and children 12 and under.
Also returning to the BPAC is the Twin Cities Ballet’s (TCB) The Nutcracker Ballet. TCB performs its flagship traditional, full-length professional production of Denise Vogt’s The Nutcracker Ballet to full houses each year at the south metro’s premier professional theatre.
The cast of approximately 120 consists of TCB’s company professional dancers, ballet students, and community members. This popular original production has become a cherished holiday tradition for many. In addition, as part of its outreach initiatives, every year since its inception in 2003, TCB also performs a special daytime performance of The Nutcracker Ballet for 4th graders, seniors and special education students.
Tickets are $16 to $32 with special senior 65+ and children 12 and under prices. The Nutcracker Ballet is on sale Friday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m.
