Get Out This Weekend, Burnsville: Fenmo, a Shred Session and Two Chances to Meet Santa
A roundup of events for Burnsville's weekend warriors.
1. Skate with Santa: This Saturday, kids can meet Old Saint Nic, make some holiday crafts, and ice skate from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 at the . Parents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help stock area food shelves. This event is free, though rental skates cost $4 a pair.
2. Fenmo — The Beauty of Acrobatics: Two top-rated Chinese acrobatic groups — Jiangsu Performing Arts Group and China Wuqiao Acrobatic Troupe — will perform at the on Friday and Saturday.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 for VIP seats, $30 for adults, and $23 for students aged 12 and under and seniors.

3. Shred Circuit: This Saturday, local snowboarders have a chance to win a free trip to Colorado during a jam-style shred session at . The session is part of the Shred Circuit tour — a 12 stop event sponsored by SoGnar that is hitting locations in the midwest, the northwest, and of course, Colorado itself. At each stop, one snowboarders will be awarded an all expense paid trip out to Winter Park, Colorado to compete with the other 11 amateur qualifiers and the 12 professional riders during the series finals on April 7, 2012. The cost is $20 per rider.
4. Santa at the Minnesota Zoo: Saturday is the last day that kids can meet Santa at the zoo. He will be there from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The usual zoo entrance fees apply.
