Brian Culbertson & David Sanborn THE DREAM TOUR

Brian Culbertson released Nice & Slow (featuring special guest trumpeter Herb Alpert and singer/songwriter Kenny Lattimore), which spent six weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz. Thru the years, he released eleven inspired albums that passionately surveyed a broad spectrum of musical styles and prominently featured many of music’s finest players. For his most recent release, Culbertson decided to keep conceptualism to a minimum and simply title his twelfth album XII.

David Sanborn is one of the most commercially successful American saxophonists to earn prominence since the 1980s. Sanborn has worked in many genres, which typically blend instrumental pop, R&B, and lately, more and more traditional jazz. He released his first solo album Taking Off in 1975, but has been playing the saxophone since before he was in high school when he was inspired by the great Chicago blues artists near his hometown of St. Louis. In his three-and-a-half decade career, Sanborn has released 24 albums, won six Grammy Awards, and has had eight Gold albums and one Platinum album. He continues to be one of the most highly active musicians of his genre. With the 25th anniversary of the release of David Sanborn’s epic song The Dream, this year marks but one milestone in a career that spans over 3 decades of hits.

 2012 is the year that The Dream Tour will circle the globe, igniting the memories of millions of fans as David’s playing touches their hearts all over again.
