2012 Generation Organic Tour Visits Valley Natural Foods

Valley Natural Foods, a south metro food co-op, will have Organic Valley’s 2012 “Generation Organic” Tour make a stop in its Burnsville parking lot on October 7th from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The general public will get a chance to meet young organic farmers from across the U.S.  who are actively encouraging more young people to pursue organic farming as a rewarding and economically viable profession. The tour will also help the general public understand that cooperatives are a successful business model, helping celebrate the United Nations’ 2012 International Year of the Cooperative. Organic Valley is the nation’s largest cooperative of organic dairy farmers and one of the nation’s leading organic brands. Beyond the conversation, the general public can enjoy free delicious grilled cheese and single-serve milk samples, along with other fun, interactive kids’ games, including trying out the “Wheel of Food and Farming”.

Valley Natural Foods is the only Twin Cities south metro tour stop the 2012 Generation Organic Tour will make during its journey across the Midwest from September 25th through October 14th, 2012.
