Winter Storm Watch Declared for Much of State

A winter storm advisory is in effect now, and a winter storm watch has been declared for Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of the state from Tuesday night through Thursday morning as the storm dubbed "Cleon" makes its way out of the Rocky Mountain states and into the Great Plains.

Areas like Cambridge could see up to six inches of new snow or more during this time, with snowfall amounts dropping as you head south. However, the National Weather Service notes that there is “much uncertainty” of the storm’s exact path. The agency expects to have more updates later.

In the meantime, a winter weather advisory remains in effect through Monday night. Some areas could see four to six inches of snow by the time the first round of snow ends early Tuesday morning.
