Weekend Planner: Farm Babies are Back

Though there's still some snow on the ground, spring is in full swing at the Minnesota Zoo.

This weekend the Wells Fargo Family Farm will be open for spring, with baby chicks, piglets, lambs, calves, goat kids, and bunnies. This Friday and Saturday there will also be a number of kids activities: tractor rides, crafts, a chance to strike a pose with "Peter Rabbit" and more.

This at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center and runs through April 7. The musical is based on Charles Dickens' unfinished story of "greed, murder and madness," but have no fear. This is no downer. The play is described as "raucous and bawdy" and a "rollicking good time." 

Tickets are $20 general admission, $17 for seniors, students, audio description and ASL patrons, and groups of 8 or more.

True crime author Audrey Edmunds (It Happened to Audrey: A Terrifying Journey from Loving Mom to Accused Baby Killer) will tell her story in the flesh during a book signing  at the Apple Valley Barnes & Noble. the signing begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
