Thanksgiving: What's Open and What's Closed in Burnsville

Sometimes life won't wait. Sometimes the best laid plans go to waste. The turkey is black on the outside and icy on the inside, the kids are sick and all you want is a strong cup of coffee. Well, my luckless friend, this list is for you.

Here's where to go if you need: 

...A Meal (That You Didn't Cook Yourself)

• Perkin's: Open 24 hours as usual.

• Jensen's: The Burnsville location will be closed, but the Supper Club in Eagan will be open offering a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Call 651-688-7969

• Pizza Hut: Open from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday.

• TGI Friday's: Open from 4:00 p.m. to midnight on Thursday.

• Roasted Pear: Open Thursday. They will be serving a buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Buca di Beppo: Open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

• Nha Sang (Vietnamese): Open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• House of Wu: Open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• India Palace: Open from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Ernie's Pub & Grill: Open. Thanksgiving Day buffet from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

...Groceries

• Rainbow: This grocery chain is one of the few that will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Ten locations in the Twin Cities area will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 in the afternoon, the closest being West St. Paul (1660 South Robert Street West), St. Paul (892 Arcade) and Cottage Grove (7280 East Point Douglas Road). 

• Whole Foods' Minneapolis location will also be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3 on Thanksgiving Day.

• Byerly's: Closed on Thursday, will re-open at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

• Cub Foods: Closed on Thursday. Will re-open at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

• Valley Natural Foods: Closed on Thursday. Open during regular hours on Friday.

• Aldi: Closed on Thursday. Open during regular hours on Friday.

...Coffee

• Caribou on Cliff: Open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.

• Caribou, 1100 East CR 42: Open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.

• Caribou on Nicollet: Open 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, 5 a.m. until 10 on Friday.

• Buzz Coffee & Cafe: Closed Thursday and Friday. 

• Jo Jo's Rise & Wine: Closed Thanksgiving Day. Open Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Bruegger's, 1601 CR 42 West: Open 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.

• Panera: Closed Thursday. Open Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• Indigo Tea Company: Closed Thanksgiving Day. Open during normal hours on Friday. 

...Personal Care and Minor Medical Attention 

• Walgreen's will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, though the pharmacy will be closed.

• MinuteClinic: The Eagan MinuteClinic will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The clinic is inside the CVS at 4241 Johnny Cake Ridge Road.

• Local medical clinics that will be closed, to reopen on Friday: Fairview Ridges Clinic, Quello Clinic and Urgent Care, Burnsville Family Physicians and Park Nicollet.

• U.S. Post Office: Closed Thursday. Open Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

• UPS: Closed Thursday. Open Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• FedEx: Closed Thursday. Open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday.
