Switch for 35E Traffic Goes into Effect Late Sunday

Ramps at County Road 11 will also close for two weeks as the project gains steam.

Motorists will encounter delays in both directions of Interstate 35E between Burnsville and Eagan as crews repair the roadway.

Sunday, July 7, crews will shift north and southbound traffic on I-35E between Cedar Avenue and the I-35/35W/35E Split. Single lane, head-to-head traffic will remain on the northbound side of the roadway through July 22.

At the same day and time the southbound I-35E ramps at County Road 11 will close. The ramps are expected to re-open on July 22.

Beginning Wednesday, July 10, both directions of the McAndrews Road Bridge spanning I-35E will close for 14 days as make repairs and add a railing to the bridge.

Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to follow the signed detour.
