Submit Nominations for Burnsville's Community Builder Award

The award can be presented to individuals, community groups and businesses.

The City of Burnsville has started accepting nominations for the 2013 Community Builder Award

According to a news release from the city: "Each year, the award is presented to individuals, community groups and businesses that—through their volunteer or work life—do their best to 'build a brighter future for Burnsville.'"    

Examples of community building include helping the environment, volunteering, working with youth, coaching or other events and projects that build community pride. 

Nominees do not have to be Burnsville residents and is not restricted by age limits. Past recipients of the award have included youth to seniors citizens. 

To submit a nomination, fill out a form or send a typed or printed letter that includes the name of the nominee, contact information and reason for the nomination to:

Nominations will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Awards will be presented at the Tuesday, Oct. 22 Burnsville City Council meeting.
