Patch Picks: Haunted Attractions in the Burnsville Area

Screaming is allowed at these scary haunted attractions in the area.

1. Frightmares at Buck Hill

For $20 per person (Wednesday through Saturday beginning at 7 p.m.) be prepared to be scared at Buck Hill Frightmares in Burnsville as over 100 goblins, vampires, ghosts and more wait for you in four separate attractions. There is the Orchard Manor Dead and Breakfast, The Fright Factory, The Bellharm Lovejoy Asylum and The Haunted Hollow. Be sure to step into the Scream Scene where live bands rock out and a live magic show happens at the Halls of Magic.

2. ScreamTown in Chaska

Be prepared to lose your way through one of the scariest haunted corn mazes – Terror in the Corn. ScreamTown in Chaska opens at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and offers several more attractions, such as Oak Blood Forest, Hillbilly Motel, Circus Asylum and Rabid Alley. 3. Fright Farm in Maplewood

The Ramsey County Sherriff’s Department once again opened their scary Fright Farm at the Ramsey County’s fair grounds and promises plenty of bone-chilling screams. Cost is $10 and the hours are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturdays in October. There is a low-scare matinee for younger children on October 30.

4. Deadview Cemetery in Cottage Grove

Have fun being scared outside at Deadview Cemetery and for $6.00 per person. Open every Friday and Saturday (and some Sundays) in October, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Deadview Cemetery promises a “Grave Experience”.

5. Dreadwood Haunted Forest in Hudson

Be ready to walk a half a mile while on this chilling, dark and isolated tour through Dreadwood Haunted Forest. There is no turning back, so listen to your guide. Tickets are $12 per person, but bring food for the food shelf and receive $2.00 off. Open 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October.
