Morning Storm Leaves Over 50 Without Power in Burnsville

Thursday's storm moved in around 11 a.m. and was out of the area by noon.

The storm that hit the Twin Cities area Thursday morning left thousands without power, including over 50 in Burnsville.

The Xcel Energy Outage Map currently estimates that power will be restored this afternoon. 

Thursday's storm brought 40 mph wind gusts and rain. Some areas even saw hail, the Pioneer Press reported. It entered the metro area around 11 a.m. and was out before 12 p.m.

Much of the storm damage occurred in the north and west metro, according to KSTP

Burnsville is no longer under a severe thunderstorm watch, originally in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday.
