I-35E Experiencing Lane Changes Soon

Motorists should not expect to see relief until the end of July.

It wouldn’t be summer without road construction.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that all traffic on Interstate 35E between Cedar Avenue and Diffley Road will shift to the southbound side of the road starting Wednesday, July 17. The single lane head to head traffic will be in effect up to the I-35/35W/35E split, according to the MnDOT news release.

Also closing are the Cedar Avenue ramps on the northbound side of I-35E.

The single lane traffic and Cedar Avenue closures are scheduled until July 25. Inclement weather can change the expected construction schedule, says MnDOT.
