Both directions of Interstate 35 between County Road 50 and County Road 2 will soon be reduced to one lane. Motorists should expect delays, said the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will begin at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Northbound and southbound traffic will move to the same side of the road.
In addition to temporary ramp closures during the project, the following ramps will also close:
- County Road 60/185th Street to northbound I-35: Suggested detour is the County Road 50 ramp
- Northbound I-35 ramp to County Road 50: Suggested detour is County Road 60/185th Street.
MnDOT advises motorists to find alternate routes and use the detours to help minimize delays.
The project is expected to last through November, weather permitting. To sign up for the project’s email updates or for more information, visit the project’s website.
