Party with the Police: Deadline to Register for 'Night to Unite" Draws Near

Both Burnsville and Savage are asking residents to register their block party by July 27.

August is almost upon us and with it comes the "Night to Unite"—an annual civic initiative aimed at bringing residents closer to their local officials and law enforcement. The method? A single night of neighborhood block parties.

Both Burnsville and Savage will play host to Night to Unite on Aug. 7. Residents are asked to register their party by July 27. Those registered will perhaps get a friendly visit from local city council members, fire officials or police. Emergency vehicles may also make an appearance at individual parties, as per special request.

People in Burnsville can register online at www.burnsville.org/NTU or by calling 952-895-4575.
