Burnsville Named to Business Insider's '10 Best' Small Towns List

Based on its performance in the "Best of the Road" contest, Burnsville was ranked number seven of 10 by Business Insider.

Burnsville has been honored by Business Insider, which ranked the city number seven of 10 "Best Small Towns" in the U.S.

Interestingly, the list was based on the "Best of the Road" contest sponsored by Rand McNally and USA Today. Burnsville has contended for the number one spot in the "Best Food" category for two years so far, only to come in second each time, in both 2012 and 2011(first to Lafayette, LA, then to Lewiston, NY).

Nevertheless, Business Insider recognized that the town had some culinary delights worthy of mention.

"It's got some pretty diverse cuisine — the survey recommends going to the Cruise Café for Mediterranean, Burger Jones for a good burger, and Chianti for fine Italian dining," the authors of the list wrote.

And, its proximity to Minneapolis and St. Paul didn't hurt either.
