Burnsville Blood Drive Declared a Success

US Federal Credit Union collected 20 units of blood at its recent blood drive in Burnsville.

US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) has announced that the bi-annual blood drive it hosted with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) was a success.

From USFCU:

According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. USFCU ‘s summer blood drive was a great way to aid the nationwide need, collecting 20 units of blood.

Blood donations can be broken down into plasma, platelets and red blood cells; donations from the recent drive have the potential to save 60 lives.  

“We are very appreciative of the community members and USFCU employees who donated,” said Bill Raker, President/CEO of USFCU. “It’s great to come together for a good cause.”
