Skeletal Remains Found in Murphy-Hanrehan

Authorities have yet to identify the body.

The Burnsville PD is investigating the discovery of human remains at Murphy-Hanrehan Park in northeast Scott County. The skeletal remains were found by a man walking his dog on Saturday afternoon, at about 5:30 p.m.

The scene is currently being processed by the Burnsville PD, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Though the remains have not yet been positively identified, but it is possible that the body may be that of Lorenzo Pacheco Orozco (also known as Lorenzo Moreno-Pacheco). The 61-year-old man went missing from his home near west Burnsville Parkway, which is less than a mile from the northernmost tip of the 2,400-acre reserve.
