Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues.

Ellie is ready to celebrate Halloween and would love a family of her own.

She's a 2-year-old red lab mix who came into rescue with three newborn puppies.  The puppies have since found homes, but Ellie is still waiting.

Ellie likes kids and other dogs and has lived with cats. She loves to go for walks and snuggle with whoever will pet her. Ellie has good house manners and is very laid back inside the house. She is kennel trained and housetrained. She has been microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, and is scheduled for her spay this week. She will make a wonderful family dog.
