Khanh Le, age 83, passed away on Aug. 4, 2012.
Le was known as a painter, a sculptor, a calligrapher, a poet and a writer. But above all, he was a dedicated father and loving husband, according to his loved ones.
"We were his world, his source of pain and pride, his source of heartaches and sorrow but also his source of happiness and joy. He made sacrifices that others could not, to help making sure there is food on the table and clothes on our back," His family writes. "He was no Monet or Picasso, but maybe if his emphasis was not always on his family his artistic trajectory could have been much closer to his talent and potential."
Ler offered steady guidance to his children in a world that was often intimidating.
"We will miss him always. May he unite with the love of his life, and may they be happy together eternally in the afterlife," His family concludes.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, CamDung.
He is survived by his children Trang, Thanh, Thang, Thong and their families.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Burnsville.
