Meeting Preview: First Step in Major Expansion at Fairview on Deck

Tuesday, the Burnsville City Council will get its first glimpse of Fairview's ambitious plan to build out its campus.

Monday

Both city and school offices closed in observance of President's Day.

Tuesday

Burnsville City Council—Tuesday night, the council will consider two development requests: One to demo and rebuild a Holiday Station at 14150 Irving Avenue South and another to extend Fairview Drive in preparation for a large, new development on the health campus. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Board of Education—The board will have a special budget work session at 5 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center.

Wednesday

Burnsville "State of the City Address"—Mayor Elizabeth Kautz will  review 2012 and look ahead to 2013 in this annual speech. Begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.

Thursday

'Open to Business' Free Consulting at Burnsville City Hall—Would-be entrepreneurs can get free business consultations at city hall. Sessions start at 1 p.m. and run to 3 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Contact Laurie Crow, Business Advisor for more information.

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Board of Education—The board will consider the budget for 2014 for the final time. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Diamondhead Education Center.
