Interactive Map: How Did Your Precinct Vote on the Marriage Amendment?

The north and central corridor of Burnsville showed the strongest opposition to the marriage amendment, while the south showed support.

The marriage amendment failed in Burnsville, overall, by a slim margin: Citywide, 49.26 percent of the electorate said yes to the marriage amendment. However, the vote was not evenly split in every precinct. Some showed moderate support for the amendment, while in others voters were strongly opposed. Above, you'll find a map illustrating how the votes for and against were geographically distributed.

Purple indicates opposition to the amendment. Red indicates support. Blue shows a tie (49 or 50 percent for each side). If you click on each precinct you can see specific stats—yes votes, no votes, blanks and percentages. These statistics have also been provided in a table below.
