Car V. Bike Accident on Cliff Road Leaves One Injured

Wednesday afternoon, Cliff was the scene of a rush hour crash between a car and a bicyclist.

Eagan police say one person was injured following a collision between a car and bicycle along Cliff Road on Wednesday evening.

Rush hour traffic snarled from Cliff Drive in Eagan to Mary, Mother of the Church in Burnsville after a bicyclist was struck by a car on Cliff Road Wednesday afternoon. The accident between the cyclist and a gray Lincoln MKX SUV occurred during rush hour, around 4:50 p.m.

Police say the bicyclist was riding against traffic along the shoulder of Cliff Road when the individual either struck or was struck by an SUV turning off of Cliff Drive. The bicyclist was transported to Regions Hospital with a broken leg, according to Eagan Police Department Lt. Duane Pike.

The identity and of the victim is not known at this time. Please check back for updates.
