Burnsville Walmart Opens Friday, Oct. 26
The long-awaited megastore will open its doors after a brief ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new Walmart is opening this Friday, after well over 20 years of delay. The store will kick things off in style with a ribbon cutting and free Hors' Doeuvres and beverages from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The address is 12200 River Ridge Boulevard.
Burnsville is not the only south metro city to be graced by a new Walmart. Last week, Lakeville welcomed a new Walmart into its thankful (and sometimes not-so-thankful) midst. The proliferation of Walmart stores in Dakota County is part of a larger strategy to bust into territory previously enjoyed by the company's competitor, Target, which is a Minnesota-based chain.
