Burnsville Softball Dusts Prior Lake 8-0

Anderson throws 1-hit shutout; Blaze goes to 3-0 in the South Suburban Conference with the victory

 

Burnsville won its third South Suburban game on the season Monday, beating Prior Lake 8-0.

Blaze pitcher Kelsey Anderson struck out 12 and threw a 1-hit shutout.

The offense exploded for 8 runs on 9 hits.  Junior Abby Harazin hit a 3-run home run in the 2nd inning. The home run was Harazin's second of the season. Junior Laura Nadeau added 3 hits on the afternoon and drove in a run. Seniors Megan Lehnen, Kelsey Anderson and Lauren Smith all recorded RBIs.

Burnsville is now 3-0 overall (3-0 conference).  

Highlights of the young season: Sophomore Megan Threlkeld has thrown out 3 of 4 base stealers this season. Junior Abby Harazin has a .600 on base percentage. Senior Kelsey Anderson: 7 IP, 1 H, 12 K (3-0)

Burnsville will play at Apple Valley on Wednesday and is home versus Minnetonka on Thursday.
