Burnsville Boys Cross Country Takes 2nd At State
The Blaze finished behind champion Stillwater in the final standings.
The Burnsville boys cross country team took second at the Class AA state championship on Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
The Blaze finished the state meet with 115 team points, second only to Stillwater’s 92 point performance. Edina finished third with 129 points.
Burnsville senior Cole O’Brien finished with the team’s best performance, finishing fifth with a 15:46.3 time in the 5-kilometer race. Senior Abdullahi Salan also finished in the top 10 with a seventh-place finish at 16:06.7.

On the girls side, sophomore Vivian Hett took 40th in the 4-kilometer Class AA state race with a 15:12.8 finish.
