The Burnsville Blazettes kicked off the competitive dance season in style this past Saturday: Both JV and the Varsity team took first place in the AAA High Kick at the team's third-annual invitational at Burnsville High.

The team has been practicing for the last three weeks.

"They looked really great," said Coach Anna Lardy. "They were very prepared and very excited for this event. It's a good way to start he season and get over your nerves."

You can catch the Blazettes again this Tuesday at the South Suburban Conference Kick Meet. The meet will be hosted by Lakeville South.
