BHS Senior a Finalist for Twins 'Mr. Baseball' Award

Burnsville High School Senior Dan Motl has been selected as one of seven finalists for the prestigious award.

Burnsville High School Senior Dan Motl has been selected as one of seven finalists for the 2012 Play Ball! Mr. Baseball and Ms. Softball Awards.

The candidates were chosen and ranked by a panel of Major League baseball scouts and college-level coaches.

The award is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Twins Community Fund and the Minnesota Minute Men Foundation, an organization that provides resources to underprivileged, young athletes.

It's not the first time that a Burnsville student has been on this prestigious list. In 2011, Kelsey Anderson was named Ms. Softball.

This year's winners will be announced at a banquet in Minneapolis on June 17.
