Saturday, Burnsville's Andy Underhill took on Apple Valley's Seth Gross in the championship match at 120 pounds at the state Class AAA state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Gross won the match 5-4, leaving Underhill with a second place finish.

Overall, Underhill went 3-1 on the tournament and finished his season at 36-3.

"He wrestled a great match in the finals just came up a little short. He was very offensive durning the whole tournament and wrestled real good in the quarters and his semifinals match," said Underhill's coach, Sam Sand. "Andy has wrestled great all year, but definitely stepped it up a notch at the state tournament."

Underhill was one of just two Burnsville High wrestlers to go to the state tournament in 2012. Burnsville's Harry Bramley went 0-2 at state.
